Literacy activity- 3 letter words
Every morning when the students would arrive, my coaching teacher had her students say their code sound once in the morning and after recess- awesome strategy for literacy!
My first practicum lesson was creating talking sticks. I first read the class the book “The Circle of Caring and Sharing”. The students collected their sticks a day before and they had so much fun decorating them. Afterwards, in the closing sharing circle, students go to talk about their talking stick and what they added and why.
